On this auspicious occasion of Deepawali, His Excellency the Governor of Sikkim Shri Balmiki Prasad Singh extended his heartiest greetings and best wishes to the people of Sikkim for the joyous celebration of the ‘festival of lights’.

The lighting of lamps during this occasion is symbolic of dispelling darkness from our lives, while the distribution of sweets to all epitomizes sharing of love, affection and joy.
